Bacon and Fig Jam Grilled Cheese

Bacon fig with petit supreme and blue (makes 5)

Pair with: Cline Family Cellars Syrah

  • Bacon (1 lb)
  • Marin French Petit supreme cheese (2 rounds – 25 slices)
  • Blue cheese (1 cup)
  • Fig jam (1 cups)
  • Sourdough bread (10 slices)
  1. Fry bacon on sheet pan in oven for 45 minutes or until desired doneness at 450 degrees.
  2. Sandwich: put butter or mayonnaise on outside of bread. On low heat, put one slice, mayo side of bread down, place a layer of petit supreme, bacon and blue cheese on bread. On second piece of bread, spread a layer of fig jam on the inside of bread (outside will have mayo on it). Place on top of sandwich and flip when underside is nice and browned.
