Big Break Zinfandel is always a robust wine, shows crisp black cherries, exotic spice, as well as a toasted oak characteristic. Big Break Zinfandel can be enjoyed young, but will also benefit from 5 to 7 years of cellaring.

100-year-old Oakley vineyards are dry-farmed and head-pruned, as they were a century ago. Hot sun, sandy soil, and cool evening air from the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers produce a stunning, concentrated harvest. A nearby Eucalyptus grove imparts an intriguing minty flavor.

Harvested at high natural sugar levels, lightly crushed, with a large proportion of whole berries remaining. Fermented at moderate temperatures, pressed from its skins and stored in medium-toasted French oak for 12 months.
