Cline’s Viognier offers rich and distinctive aromas of pears, apricots, orange blossoms and honeysuckle. It has a blockbuster flavor and full-body mouth-feel.
This wine draws from four of our Sonoma Coast Estate vineyard. Three of the vineyards (Catapult, Diamond Pile and Lazy M) are located in the cool and fog-shrouded area to the East of Petaluma. The fourth is located at the Five Sisters home ranch estate. A combination of soil from volcanic to loam combined with the cool evenings and warm days provide ideal conditions for this ancient grape.
The grapes were handpicked and destemmed before being pumped to our gentle tank press. The juice was chilled and settled and approximately 50% was fermented in neutral French oak barrels to enhance richness. The balance was fermented cold in temperature-controlled stainless tanks which helped to maintain the floral and stone fruit elements of this wine.
