Nancy Cline has been a driving force in the growth and success of Cline Family Cellars since its founding in 1982 in Oakley, California. With a passion for family, sustainability, and fine wine, Nancy has played a key role in cultivating the winery’s legacy. In 1989, Nancy helped lead the expansion of the family business with the purchase of a picturesque property in the Los Carneros region of Sonoma County. The site, with its rolling hills and rich historical significance, offered a perfect blend of opportunity and beauty. It became the foundation for Cline’s continued growth and a home for their growing family, which today includes seven talented, creative, and independent children. Nancy’s vision and dedication continue to shape the winery’s future while honoring its storied past.

SECOND GENERATION VINTNER

Megan Cline is a certified sommelier and began her wine journey in Santa Barbara, working with brands: Sahndi, Babcock, and Jonata. In 2015, she rejoined her family's business, assisting with harvest while focusing on direct-to-consumer marketing and brand photography. In 2017 she launched Gust, with her sister Hilary, which focuses on small-production Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah, sourced from their family's vineyards in the Petaluma Gap. In 2020, she gained event and marketing management experience with the San Francisco Giants and the Simco restaurant group. However, Megan's enduring connection to her family’s wine business drew her back to Cline in 2023.

As a proud member of Cline’s second generation, Mayme Cline has brought her diverse talents and experiences to the family winery. A graduate of USC with a degree in biomedical engineering, Mayme began her journey at Cline working in the lab during harvest, gaining invaluable hands-on winemaking experience. After honing her skills internationally with a five-year tenure at Briston Myers Squibb in Ireland, she returned in 2024 to contribute to the family business once more. Now a key player in the finance department, Mayme oversees accounts payable, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication make her an indispensable part of the Cline Cellars team.

KATIE HOGGINS

ASSISTANT WINEMAKER

Katie brings a wealth of expertise and passion to Cline Family Cellars, with a phenomenal palate and global winemaking experience that spans both small boutique wineries and large-scale operations. Her journey in winemaking has taken her across diverse regions and styles, enriching her understanding of what it takes to craft exceptional wines. Katie's enthusiasm for pushing boundaries and creating wines that excite the palate is matched by her direct, efficient, and innovative approach to the craft. Her vision perfectly aligns with the forward-thinking spirit of the next generation at Cline Family Cellars, where she plays an integral role in shaping the winery's future while honoring its legacy.

From packaging design to marketing campaigns, Kendra’s innovative approach ensures that every element reflects the heart and soul of Cline. She is a true visionary.

Maribel Gonzalez is the Director of Human Resources at Cline Family Cellars and its entities. She brings a wealth of experience in fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture. Holly Gelow has worked at Cline for 4 years and has recently been promoted to our Business Systems Analyst. She plays a key role in optimizing processes and enhancing operational efficiency and making sure all the data we work with is clean. With a strong focus on data analysis and system integration, Holly ensures that the business operates seamlessly. With her background in marketing and her fierce dedication she is an invaluable part of the Cline team.

For the past 15 years, Teresa Hernando has been an integral part of the Cline Family, contributing her talents across a wide range of roles. She has excelled in managing the hospitality departments at both Cline Cellars and its sister winery, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, where her dedication and leadership left a lasting impact. Today, Teresa serves as the General Manager of The Olive Press, another cherished venture of the Cline Family. Her multifaceted expertise and commitment to excellence continue to elevate every aspect of the businesses she touches. Teresa’s incredible talent and adaptability make her an indispensable part of the Cline family legacy.

EVENTS TEAM

Laura moved from the Midwest in 2012 to join the Cline team and hasn’t looked back since. As Director of Events, her strategic, organizational and unassuming approach brings a multitude of gatherings and celebrations to life. Laura loves to collaborate with clients and vendor partners to create unforgettable experiences and she continues to prove herself with her endless dedication, integrity and exceptional hospitality. Katy joined our Events team in April 2023 after having worked as a wedding coordinator at both Cline and Jacuzzi since 2018. She has spent over 10 years in the wedding industry and has a passion for making vendor and client connections in the area. Mady joined the Cline events team in 2024 and has been an invaluable asset, bringing warmth and exceptional hospitality to every event.

Val is the heart and soul of production and logistics at The Olive Press, and serves as our dedicated Warehouse Manager for Cline DTC shipping. Her skill, dedication, and attention to detail ensure that every product—whether it’s our hand-bottled olive oils, balsamic vinegars, spices, or pantry items—is crafted and delivered with care. Val’s role is as multifaceted as it is vital. She oversees every step of the process, from sourcing and organizing packaging to ensuring your favorite products make it safely to your door. Her commitment to excellence keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
